Bees Face Kings Lynn

Coventry Bees face King’s Lynn at Brandon tonight (7.30pm).

The Bees are third in the table and will be looking for more points in a meeting brought forward to avoid a clash with Coventry City's home game with Gillingham.

Australian Max Fricke – who was sensational at Belle Vue on Monday – is booked to guest for Kenneth Hansen, and popular former Bees regular Stuart Robson stands in for Kyle Howarth.

A guest is also to be confirmed for Jason Garrity, for what should be his final Rye House fixture clash, with some potential options from the Fast Track list unable to take the booking.

King’s Lynn, who need points to secure top spot ahead of the play-offs, bring in former Bees skipper Scott Nicholls to guest for the injured Niels-Kristian Iversen, who will unfortunately miss the rest of the season with serious knee ligament damage, and they also hand a senior debut to Young Stars rider Tom Stokes as Simon Lambert is unavailable.

Manager Gary Havelock said to the Bees website: “I’m looking forward to seeing Max guesting for us at home, as he’s only ridden in away matches so far and he’s impressed me every time.

“The way he rides the bike is very technically correct, and he’s certainly got all the tools to make it in speedway.

“We’re in a good position, this is the important time of the season now and we must make sure we get enough points to qualify for the play-offs.”
