Col Coldeportes Darwin Atapuma won the sixth stage of the 70th Tour of Poland today.

A 192km stage from Bukovina Terma Hotel Spa to Bukowina Tatrzańska saw an early attack by Niemiec, Marczynski, Casar, Konig and Atapuma with Marczynski taking the first climb of the day.

However, by the time, the riders had crested the category one Gliczarów climb, Bartosf Huzarski had joined the leading group and taken the points.

With the yellow jersey some 3.10 down, Marczynski took the Ząb climb with 50kms gone and fifteen kilometres later, did the same on the second of four visits to the Gliczarów.

Huzarski beat Marczynski to the points on the second Zab climb and went away with Szymd to take the Gliczarów yet again and the seventh climb as well.

They were caught and it was Atapuma who took the eighth climb after 141kms before the Sprint in Poronin, which saw Mathias Frank with the full points.

Atapuma was back in front to take the ninth climb and he was joined by AG2R's Christophe Riblon. The pair were not to be caught and Darwin Atapuma took the victory whilst Riblon's second place was enough to give him the leader's jersey.
