German rider Leo Appelt is the new junior individual time trial world champion.
Appelt completed the thirty kilometre World Championship course in Richmond, Virginia, in 37.45, seventeen seconds quicker than Adrien Costa of USA and fifty nine seconds quicker than another American in Brandon McNulty.
Ireland's Michael O'Laughlin finished 38th.
