Amets Txurruka Wins Tour Of Norway Fourth Stage

Amets Txurruka of Caja Rural has won the fourth stage of the Tour Of Norway.

A Fourth 167km stage from Rjukan to Geilo and saw Bob Jungels of Trek Factory and Pim Ligthart of Lotto Soudal go into the lead.

With seventy kilometres left, they were 6.15 clear and 6.40 ahead after 103kms.

Jungels dropped Ligthart with just over fifty kilometres to go and he went away.

He was 2.45 ahead with nineteen kilometres left but was caught nine kilomtres later and Minnard took to the front.

Minnard lasted until the five kilometre mark and the peloton which was now down to around fifty riders, grouped themselves for the final climb.

Anders Skaarseth attacked but could only stay until there was 1.6kms left and the group of favourites which included Edvald Boasson Hagen, Nordhaug, two stage winner Alexander Kristoff and Jesper Hansen the race leader.

David Lopez and Hansen led a group which briefly got clear but up came Amets Txurruka of Caja Rural to take the win in 4.30.10 and finish two seconds ahead of Team Sky's David Lopez with Davide Rebellin of CCC Sprandi and Jesper Hansen five seconds down.

Jesper Hansen continues to lead the race with a 54 second lead over  Boasson Hagen and 1.05 on Lopez.
