Michael Albasini won the Volta a Catalunya this afternoon.
The final 119.8km stage from Badalona Centre Comercial Màgic to Barcelona ended in a sprint which saw France's Julien Simon first over the line in a time of 2.47.02 ahead of Gavazzi and Cunego.
Green Edge rider Michael Albasini finished in the peloton to win the overall classification by a minute and a half from Sammy Sanchez.
Ireland's Daniel Martin finished fourth.
