26 Teams Lined Up For The Tour De San Luis

Twenty six teams have been lined up for the Tour De San Luis in Argentina.

The race starts on January 19th 2015 with a 186.8km stage from San Luis to Villa Mercedes and sees a time trial on stage five in San Luis before the race finishes with a 122.4km final stage which starts and finishes in San Luis on January 25th.

Six World Tour teams in Movistar who will have Nairo Quintana riding, AG2R, Etixx-Quick Step, who have said that British Mark Cavendish and World Champion Michael Kwiatkowski will take part, Katusha, Lampre-Merida and Cannondale-Garmin, will enter the race.

The Pro Continentnal teams competing are Europcar, Androni, Bretagne Seche Enviroment, UnitedHealthCare, Team Colombia, Nippo Vini Fantini and Team Novodisk with Continental sides Jamis-Hagens Berman, San Luis Somos Todos, Buenos Aires Provinca, Funvic Brasil, Israel Cycling Academy, Team Inteja and Team Sep San Juan.

The selctions teams will see riders from Argentina, Italy, Colombia, Cuba, Chile and Panama also competing.

Kwiatkowski admitted that he is looking forward to the race and the Polish rider told the Tour De San Luis press office: "The weather is good and the organization is good and gives you a good foundation for the rest of the season.

"It will be a new and very nice experience to make my debut in South America with my rainbow jersey,"
