Woodlands WMC are through to the Coventry Charity Football Cup FInal after a thrilling 3-2 victory over Alvis Sporting Club.
 
Alvis were the first to show winning a second minute corner that was headed away by the Woodlands defence. That was followed by another four minutes later and providing some catching practice for Steve Brook.
 
 
In the seventh minute, Alvis took the lead when Reece Snape raced onto a through ball and drove powerfully into the net.
 
Woodlands had a spell of pressure which included two corners before the half hour mark.
 
 
Kiam Galdings headed over from a 34th minute corner for the Tankmen who had their lead wiped out in the 41st minute thanks to a stunning finish from Harry Donovan on the left.
 
 
Three miniutes into the second half and Woodlands were in front when Jamie Williams slammed home.
 
In the 57th minute, Chris Brook thumped a header onto the bar from a Woodlands corner. Alvis turned the screw and won four corners and in the 76th minute, Dean Kimberlin fired home to equalise.
 
However, with two minutes, Woodlands had a free kick and Chris Brook, who had a fine game, smashed the ball into the net.to send Woodlands into the final.
