While other cities may claim to have the best, we all know that it’s our very own market that offers so much more. Coventry Market is much more than just a unique shopping experience; it’s a huge slice of local heritage, it’s a vibrant place to meet, and above all, it’s a proud Coventry brand. Last year Coventry Market upped the ante once again by providing some first-class entertainment with an inspiring Blitz Anniversary Exhibition , a CD signing by Coventry singing legend Hazel O’Connor and the high-profile re-vamp of the iconic round-about.
So little wonder why Coventry Market fought off the opposition in 2010, and took the title of Britain’s Favourite Market, thanks to the overwhelming support from the Coventry shoppers.
Our market has been nominated again, and with 2012 looming fast, it’s time to get voting and put Coventry at the top once more. Cllr Linda Bigham, Cabinet Member for City Development, said: "The team at Coventry are always putting on events to encourage people to visit and be entertained while they shop. I'm sure that all Coventry people think that their market is the best - so let's show the rest of the country how we feel. I've already voted and would ask you to do the same!"
