Two Tone Plaque Number 10 Unveiled

The tenth Two Tone at 30 plaque was unveiled at the Hand And Heart in Gosford Street this afternoon.

Now, a building hosting accommodation, the Hand And Heart host many gigs including Hard Top 22 from which a number of The Selecter came, The Coventry Automatics and The Specials.

The plaque made by Harris Signs and sponsored by Harabin Construction, was unveiled by Steve DJ Cardboard Eaton, who spoke about his time in the Hand & Heart both as a DJ and promoter to an audience of ska and two tone fans from Coventry, Rugby, Redditch, Lincoln and Leeds.

Steve was the model on the cover of The Selecter Album "Too Much Pressure"

This will be followed at the Dog & Trumpet when The Swinging Cats, took to the stage for their first set in Coventry for 29 years. Cardboard and his Wife Lynsey were on vocals joing Paul Heskett and John Shipley. After a reading from Paul's planned book, The Swinging Cats performed three songs including "Never On A Sunday" and "Mantonvarni"
