Trouble As Bedworth Win Local Derby

Bedworth United ended up deserved winners with a 2-0 scoreline in a home Southern League Premier Division game against local rivals Leamington FC.

The goals came from Marsden on 29 minutes and substitute Archer secured the points on 83 minutes. An even game up until the first goal and after that Bedworth asserted themselves on the game more and more.

Only one side looked like winning in the second half and when the second goal went in it was game over as Leamington had visibly given up.

A poor display from Leamington and a few of their fans let them down with their behaviour which led to the arrival of a number of police officers.

A skirmish in the stand after the second goal was followed by an incident near the tunnel at full time but the police restored order pretty quickly.

An eventful game but for all the wrong reasons for Leamington.
