Third Away Win For Alvis

Alvis Sporting recorded their third consecutive away win in eight days by defeating Droitwich Spa 3-2 last Saturday.

Alvis led by a Shane Brassington goal at the break, and Brassington doubled the scoreline just after the interval. Droitwich came back strongly to level the score, but Dean Kimberlin headed the winner with two minutes remaining.

Assistant Manager, Rob Kimberlin, said "The lads were a little under par on the day. However, it was good to see that they showed a lot of character, and that they ground out a more than satisfactory three points to continue to head the table".

Alvis travel to Earlswood Town on Saturday, but their long awaited return to Green Lane on Bank Holiday Monday has been delayed by the shock resignation of Kenilworth Town from the Midland League.
