Sphinx Sports & Social beat Dunlop 3-1 tonight in their first ever Coventry Alliance Premier Division home fixture.

Sphinx managed by Ade Fisher lost Justin Bowen and Dean Falconer to injury early on and had chances before a Dunlop defender broke his ankle and was taken to hospital.

Sphinx created three good chances and deservedly took the lead in the 43rd minute through Andrew Williams who rounded the keeper.

The Dunlop keeper made two brilliant saves before Ryan O'Toole headed in from a corner in the 63rd minute.

Sphinx continued to have the better of the chances and with seven minutes remaining, the ball fell for Ryan O'Toole to finish with aplomb for a third goal.

Dunlop pulled one back in the 89th minute with a neat finish but Sphinx ran out very worthy winners.
