Sheffield FC were named the WPL Northern Division Champions this afternoon.
Sheffield, after beating Blackburn on Thursday night, beat Sporting Club Albion 3-0 to take the title although their title will only become official if Coventry City Ladies, who won 4-1 at Huddersfield Town, decide within the given timescale, after taking advice, not to challenge the decision to deduct them six points for fielding an ineligible player or challenge and lose their appeal to which they are entitled to.
Portsmouth Ladies are the Southern Divison champions, following a 3-1 home win over West Ham United.
