Nuneaton Town have signed twenty year old Tom Elliott from Worksop Town for an undisclosed fee.

Manager Kevin Wilson said to the Nuneaton club website: “I'm pleased this has finally been resolved and that the signing has gone through.

“I'm disappointed, though, that it went public through a journalist who wasn't party to all of the facts.

“We received and completed all of the paperwork recently so nothing could happen until that was done. Both clubs had their hands tied in many respects and couldn't do any more to push things along.

“Nevertheless, Tom is now a Boro player and I'm delighted. He's got plenty of ability and potential and will get better over time. He's a terrific long-term prospect in my view.”

Elliott, said: “My dream has always been to be a full-time footballer so when Nuneaton made it clear they wanted me I was keen to hear what they had to say.

“I love what the club is all about and I'm very excited to be here."
