Nuneaton Griff are through in the FA Vase after a thrilling 4-3 win at Pinxton.
At Pinxton in a re-arranged FA Vase game, Griff went behind to a Vernon goal on thirty six minutes but before half-time, they had levelled through Shorthouse.
After the floodlights had failed and been repaired, the second half started and this time, it was the Griff who took the lead when Ashby netted.
Gilson who had just come on as a substitute scored to make it 2-2 before the Griff went ahead again through Brehononly for Pinxton to equalise through Adcock.
However, late on, the Griff snatched the win with a goal from Shorthouse to book their place in the fourth round with an away tie at AFC Wulfrunians on January 9th.
