New Nuneaton Town manager Kevin Wilson has ordered the club to extended its pitch at the James Parnall Stadium.

The pitch will now be 111 metres long and and seventy metres wide and is within the limits that see the length of a pitch being between 100 yards (90m) and 130 yards (120m) and the width not less than 50 yards (45m) and not more than 100 yards (90m).

Wilson told the Nuneaton club website:  “I want my players to pass the ball around, exploit the space and play with width".

“That style can be very exciting to watch and suits a bigger playing surface. It also brings the crowd closer to the pitch which should improve the atmosphere and fan experience".

“I know how I want to set my team up and I’ll let the opposition worry about us and our game”.
