Neville Staple To Host Album Launch In Coventry

Who: Neville Staple, singer, songwriter, co founder of 2 Tone Records, ex front man of The Specials and Fun Boy 3.

Since leaving The Specials, Original Rude boy Neville Staple has developed a stage show that never fails to leave ska fans in a state of pure delight. His combination of the old and new material is a sure fire winner, so brace yourselves for a brand new album that defines his current sound and introduces us to a fistful of superb new songs and some cleverly reworked classics as The Original Rudeboy Neville Staple Band.

 

“Ska Crazy”, The Album Launch Event

The new recording will launch at Knights venue at The 2-Tone Village on 20thJune.

 

What: At 6pm, there is the official launch party, open to the public, £10 per ticket; this includes a special edition signed photo featuring Ska Crazy artwork (only available at this event). Neville will be introducing the new album and some classics with an exclusive DJ Set / MC session, joined by some very special guests (Including Trevor Evans, Rio Evans, Pete from Hillz FM and Daddy Woody). This is followed by a signing and photo session for fans. The album, Biography and other merchandise will also be available to purchase, as well as access to the superb Coventry Music Museum. Tickets are available from the 2-Tone Village.

Why: To hear what Neville has been doing since leaving The Specials including his new single " ROADBLOCK" a gritty urban and ska song dealing with and warning against knife crime and gang violence (sadly as relevant now, as it ever was), filmed in Coventry by a young film crew.


All in the amazing setting of Coventry`s 2 Tone Village. With the Coventry Music Museum housed above the event venue, The 2 Tone Themed Cafe and Simmer Down Caribbean Restaurant opposite, along with the shops selling merchandise and memorabilia - there is much to see on your visit.
