More Misery For Nuneaton

Nuneaton Town were beaten 5-0 at Dover in a Conference Premier Division fixture tonight.

Liam Daish's side were late getting to Dover and were a goal down in the 21st minute to a Tom Murphy header. Two minutes later, Essam scored a second before Deverdics scored a third in the 32nd minute.

Liam Daish made a double change at the break taking off former Sky Blue Lee Fowler and replacing him with former City youngster Ryan Quinn and taking off Sodje and replacing him with Stankevicius.

On the hour mark, Payne scored a fourth, so Daish sent on former City youngster Adam Walker  But Payne scored his second in the 82nd minute to send Nuneaton to a 5-0 defeat.

BIRMINGHAM SENIOR CUP

Leamington are through to the  Birmingham Senior Cup Third Round after a 4-2 win over Redditch United

The visitors, who had put seven past Coventry Sphinx in the previous round, took a third minute lead but Newton levelled after eleven minutes and in the 28th minute, the Brakes took the lead through a Dodds penalty.

Nine minutes later and Redditch were level but Morley scored on the stroke of half-time to give Leamington a 3-2 lead. That was extended in the 65th minute when Newton scored his second of the game.

Rugby Town are out after losing 6-2 at home to a young West Brom side.

The Baggies took an early lead and then scored a second with a 25 yard grass cutter by Alex Jones. Nabil made it three before debutant Robbie Burns pulled a goal back and then Sam Youngs netted to further reduce the scores.

However, two goals in three minutes from Nabil & Barrow and another for Nabil made the scoreline even worse for Valley.

SOUTHERN LEAGUE CENTRAL

Bedworth United beat Kettering Town 1-0 at The Oval tonight. Andrew Westwood gave Bedworth a third minute lead which they kept thanks to some great keeping from Denham Hinds.

Bedworth are now second in the table.

MIDLAND FOOTBALL LEAGUE DIVISION ONE

Southam United travelled to Tamworth and won 2-1 at Bolehall Swifts. Mark Bellingham and Myles Jones got the goals after Dave Yonwin had given Swifts the lead.
