If You Use The City Credit Card, Don't Expect The Club To Really Benefit

Affinity cards such as the new credit card launched by Chester based MBNA and aimed at City supporters, may not help the club as much as they should.

A report for the BBC One Show which was aired tonight has found that the money going to clubs like Coventry City and charities for card usage is not generous as it good be.

The Sky Blues receive anywhere from £15 to £50 on new accounts and a small percentage when the card is used. That figure could be as little as 25p on every £100 spent according to the BBC's Lucy Segle.

With the banks now highly careful with their money, it is unlikely that this figures will be really increased to a level whereby the club would benefit.

With credit cards, you are advised wherever possible to settle your bill by the end of the month.
