Gaz Dean and James Armson have decided to leave Nuneaton Town following their relegation from the Conference Premier Division.

Both are long serving players but both have decided to leave with Dean tweeting:"Goodbye , and thanks for giving me the opportunity to play and captain my home town club and achieve things I could only dream of, I will be forever indebted and grateful! I wish you all the luck in the world. Thanks to all the fans for your support!."

Nuneaton Town have said on their website: "Former skipper Dean told boss Kevin Wilson that he was turning down the offer of a new contract with a heavy heart.

Both players told Wilson they were sad to be leaving.
The duo have been a huge part of the Nuneaton Town story and the club is disappointed to lose both of them.

We understand they want fresh challenges in pastures new and both players will be welcome any time they visit the club, as we will always be grateful for what they helped the club achieve.

Wilson said: "We need to rebuild the team, and that will take patience.
There are targets we are pursuing, but there is no cause for panic.
There is no need to rush and risk making the wrong decisions."
