Coventry United Ladies Hit Eight

Coventry United Ladies beat Portsmouth 8-1 in an FA WPL Southern Division fixture this afternoon.

Cov were ahead through captain Natasha Lynch in eight minutes and had Maz Gauntlett score a second before Steph Smith scored a third in the 33rd minute.

Gauntlett scored the fourth in the 54th minute and although Pompey pulled a goal back in the 56th minute, Lynch scored a fifth and completed her hat-trick in the 66th minute.

Amber Hughes made it seven in the 76th minute and the rout was completed when Ashley Neville hit an eighth goal with five minutes left.
