In the only local Non-League fixture this afternoon, Coventrians were beaten 4-1 in a Midland Football League Division Three fixture at Alcester Town.
The Warwickshire based team with a Birmingham postcode, took the lead through Matt Trinder in the 40th minute and added a second through a Matt Layton free kick just before half-time.
In the second half, Alcester scored a third goal through Simms in the 57th minue and had Matt Layton miss a penalty.
Brennan pulled a goal back in the 86th minute but Layton scored his second of the afternoon in the 90th minute as Coventrians went down to a 4-1 defeat
