Cov United Ladies Looking For GK Coach & Reserve Team Manager

Coventry United Ladies FC have two voluntary positions available, for a Goalkeeper Coach and a Reserve Team Manager. 

Goalkeeper Coach

Reports to: First Team Manager

Line manages: volunteer support staff.

Purpose of Post: 1. To work with the directors, other senior managers and the head of youth development to shape club philosophy, values, standards and key performance indicators for the club’s future Development Plan.

3. To monitor, recommend and implement improvements to the Club Development Plan as circumstances permit.

Key Duties and Responsibilities are:

Ø Ensuring that all goalkeepers are aware of the philosophy, values and standards required by the club.

Ø Implementing a training programme in line with Development Plan guidelines.

Ø Monitoring and evaluating player performance.

Ø Ensuring that one to one performance reports for all players are provided.

Ø Communicating regularly with other senior team managers to ensure there is a development pathway for players.

Ø Ensuring that the needs of players in the following areas are addressed: Sports Science, Psychological, Educational and Nutritional.

Ø Ensuring that the welfare of younger players and vulnerable adults is safeguarded as outlined in the Safeguarding Policy.

Key skills and experience required:

Ø An Enhanced FA DBS check.

Ø Level 2 Goalkeeper Coaching Licence.

Ø Experience in coaching and management.

Ø First Aid and safeguarding qualifications in date.

Ø Understanding of the WSL, WPL and woman’s player pathway systems.

Ø Availability for Sunday matches and weekday training sessions as agreed.

Ø Ability to work in a team environment.

Ø Good communication and listening skills.

Ø Ability to organise, prioritise and meet deadlines.

Ø Strong leadership and management skills.

Reserve Team Manager

Reports to: Director of Football

Line manages: Reserve team coaches and other volunteer support staff.

Purpose of Post: 1. To work with the directors, other senior managers and the head of youth development to shape club philosophy, values, standards and key performance indicators for the club’s future Development Plan.

2. To manage, oversee and develop the reserve team in line with the Club Development Plan to ensure that the agreed philosophy, values, standards and key performance indicators are being achieved.

3. To monitor, recommend and implement improvements to the Club Development Plan as circumstances permit.

Key Duties and Responsibilities are:

Ø Ensuring that all reserve team coaching staff and players are aware of the philosophy, values and standards required by the club.

Ø Recruiting, development planning and providing pastoral care for coaches and other reserve team volunteers.

Ø Implementing a training programme in line with Development Plan guidelines.

Ø Monitoring and evaluating player and coach performance.

Ø Ensuring that one to one performance reports for all players and coaches are provided.

Ø Communicating regularly with other senior team managers to ensure there is a development pathway for players.

Ø Ensuring that the needs of players in the following areas are addressed: Sports Science, Psychological, Educational and Nutritional.
