Running from Warwick Castle to Kenilworth Castle? Always A Chance!

On Sunday 12th June 2011, nine Kenilworth friends will be taking on the Two Castles 10km Run to raise money for a charity that is very close to their hearts.

The 'Always A Chance' charity has been established in the memory of their close friend and lifelong Coventry City Supporter James Cooper (from Kenilworth) and James Kouzaris who were tragically shot dead whilst on holiday in Sarasota, Florida on 16th April 2011. The charity has been set up to support victims of violent crime, and also aims to change the lives of young people at risk of being involved with violent crime.

City supporters Ben Webster, Chris Owen, John Hales, Richard Macalister, Hugh Bates, James Mckenzie, Kelvin Langmead, Neil Simms and Russell Davies have all decided to take on the 10km run with the motivation of raising funds for the recently formed charity.

Ben Webster - "There has been a lot of energy and time put into the formation of 'Always A Chance', and the support already shown from friends, family, work colleagues and through Facebook has been overwhelming. The Two Castles Run will be the first fundraising event that we have done for the charity, and we really hope to raise a good amount of money for a charity that is so close to our hearts."

Chris Owen - "Always A Chance' has given us all a positive focus over the last few weeks, and has brought a great deal of comfort to James' friends and family at a difficult time. The Two Castles Run is a great way for us to promote the charity and helps us to keep James' memory fresh in everyones minds. There will be a lot of support on the day from friends and family, and this will give us the motivation to train hard and run in this special event."

John Hales - "From this run, and other fundraising events in the future, we hope to raise significant funds to enable the charity to achieve some fantastic things. The generosity already shown from people has been incredible, and we truly do appreciate every penny and pound donated."
