With two weeks to go to the start of the season, Alvis Sporting members of Division Two of the Midland League, had a good work out at Green Lane on Saturday afternoon when they beat Racing Club Warwick 6-0.
Under the guidance of Damian Cassidy, the side are gelling nicely together with several new players, and players who have rejoined the club now that Alvis Sporting have returned to their Green Lane home after an absence of two years.
New floodlights are due to be erected in August as the club are making good progress both on and off the field.
