Alvis Sporting Club have announced that Rob Kimberlin and Nigel Starkey have stood down as joint managers.

The duo took over in the summer from Damian Cassidy at a club which has been forced to start the season at Southam United due to delays in getting floodlights installed at their Green Lane home.

Alvis Chairman Donald Corrigan said: "The timing of this was in many ways a surprise but understandable and I and my committee would like to go on record and thank them both for their hard work and professionalism.

"Rob and Nigel stepped up to the role in the summer and after a very successful period as assistant and coach under Damian Cassidy.

"Again I would like to thank them both and wish them well for the future."
