'Special place to Select your clothes, 2 Tone City Clothing'.

A unique shop is being opened this Saturday at 10.00am in Coventry Market, and will at last provide an outlet for Specials and 2-Tone fans to buy their stylish clothes.

This Aladdin's cave of rude boy gear is all down to Steve and Linzi Eaton, Steve (or Cardboard to his friends) is a 2-Tone icon himself having appeared on the cover of the first Selecter album "Too Much pressure". With a life devoted to music, he was the original Specials DJ, and has been involved with a number of bands some local some as famous as it gets.

Quote-

"I've always been a bit of a sharp dresser, but after several illnesses over the past ten years I have suffered some dramatic weight loss. Consequently I've changed clothing sizes many times, meaning a build-up of unwearable but very stylish clothes. It was suggested by our friends that we should open a shop, so here we are"

Added to Steve's collection of unusual collection of Punk, designer, Rock and Roll and well tailored suits, she has been cruising the country for the last few years buying anything that is eye-catching. This makes for a very eclectic mix on offer.

You can find them in The Coventry Retail Market under the name of '2 Tone City Clothing'. Steve is Djing under his original name 'Cardboard' when his health permits..and is one of the best DJ's in the country in his genre..He has an enviable collection of Trojan, Ska and Reggae tunes...well worth a listen.
