Ten Man Sphinx Youth Into Final

Coventry Sphinx Youth are through to Birmingham County FA Youth Cup Final after a 3-2 victory against Boldmere St Michaels at Sphinx Drive.

Stuart Fraser's team hit the bar and had one cleared off the line before Kyle Jaynes was sent off for violent conduct in the 17th minute.

Sphinx rallied and were ahead in the 23rd minute through a Jack Rooney header and fifteen minutes later and it was two when Kyle Carey-Moore raced through to beat the keeper with a powerful shot.

Sphinx had more chances before Kyle Carey-Moore raced through and beat the keeper for a third time in the 87th minute.

Back came Boldmere with a goal in the 90th minute and then another with a low drive two minutes later to set up a grand stand finish which ended up with the visitors having two players sent off for their part in an unsightly melee.

The final whistle went seconds later and Sphinx had booked their place in the final against Stourbridge.
