Coventry Sphinx are through to the Birmingham County FA Youth Cup Semi-Final after a 3-1 victory over Stratford Town tonight.
Jack Rooney gave Sphinx the lead in the 12th minute with a header but Stratford levelled with a header of their own in the 36th minute of a Quarter-Final that was played at Sphinx Drive.
Sphinx had a goal not stand due to an injury to the visiting keeper but in the 83rd minute, Kyle Carey was able to burst his way through and fire Stuart Fraser's side back in to the lead.
Into stoppage time and Kyle Carey was there again to give Sphinx a 3-1 and a home tie against Boldmere St Michaels or Leamington in the Semi-Finals.
