Coventry Sphinx came from two goals down to beat Walsall Wood 3-2.
Walsall Wood were ahead in the seventh minute through Luke Delaney and five minute later Dan Griffiths got through to score.
The visitors struck the woodwork twice but two minutes into the second half, Blythe found Mitch Piggon who turned and drilled low into the net to pull a goal back.
In the 54th minute, Wood had Deakin red-carded for use of an elbow and Sphinx made the most of it, drawing level in the 78th minute through a low Luke Downes finish and two minutes later, they took the lead when Mitch Piggon converted a penalty.
Wood finished the game with nine men after Carruthers was sent off as Sphinx took the three points..
