Coventry Sphinx Youth beat Bedworth United 3-1 in a Midland Floodlit Youth League fixture tonight at Sphinx Drive.
Stuart Fraser's side took a 24th minute lead through Jack Downes and added a second twenty minute later when Jack Rooney headed home a free kick.
On the stroke of half-time, Referee Rob Ellis award Sphinx a penalty. Kyle Carey stepped up but thumped his spot kick against the crossbar.
Bedworth pulled a goal back in the 51st minute and had chances to equalise but two minutes from time, Kyle Jaynes netted to give Sphinx a 3-1 win and send them back to the top of the league.
