Coventry Sphinx Youth were involved in a game of two halves tonight at Sphinx Drive.

Sphinx's first Midland Floodlit Youth League Premier Division fixture was against Pilkington at Sphinx Drive and they were ahead after 96 seconds through Dan Smith.

Dan Mullawumbe scored a second in the 36th minute before Kyle Jaynes lashed in a stunning goal three minutes later to make it 3-0.

However, in a game wrecked by the use of roll on roll off substitutes which has been brought into the league this season after voted through by some of the clubs, the second half belong to Pilkington who scored in the 49th minute, another in the 54th minute and an equaliser in the 83rd minute against a Sphinx side which was down to ten men in stoppage time when a player was sent off for a second bookable offence.
