Coventry Sphinx will mark the 69th anniversary of the Coventry Blitz with a minute's silence before their home game on Saturday against Highgate United at Sphinx Drive.

Sphinx were formed as Armstrong Whitworth Aircraft, who had a big involvement in the local effort in World War 2 and  Manager Danny McSheffrey said that it was important to remember all those involved on that horrific night on November 14th 1940.

Both Coventry Sphinx and Highgate United will wear black armbands to remember Paul Gibbons who played for both sides.

Kick off at Sphinx Drive is at 3pm and admission is £5 for adults.
