Coventry Sphinx won an FA Youth Cup 1st Qualifying Round tie at Sutton Coldfield Town 5-1 tonight.
There were no goals in the first half but in the second half, Jason Dodds gave Sphinx a lead before the home side levelled to take the game into extra time.
Three minutes into the first period and Kyle Carey put manager-less Sphinx back in front before Jack Rooney headed home from a corner for the third.
In the second period of extra time, Jack Rooney headed a fourth goal home and in the last minute, Kyle Carey scored to give Sphinx a 5-1 win.
