Coventry Sphinx were beaten 4-0 by Gresley FC in their opening pre-season fixture.
Stuart Dutton's side were a goal down after four minutes, two down after fifteen minutes with the visitors from the Northern Premier League scoring a third on the half hour mark.
Chris Gummery missed a penalty for Sphinx in the 49th minute and in the 61st minutre, Gresley scored a fourth with a good move in a game which was a good workout for both sides.
