Sphinx 'Party on the Pitch & Gala Day' CANCELLED.....
Due to the current wet weather Coventry Sphinx have had to cancel their scheduled 'Party on the Pitch and Gala Day' for this coming Saturday.
The family fundraising event had been planned for several months with sideshows, bouncy castles and fair ground rides but with the Coventry Sphinx Sportsground saturated following the recent rainy spell it was decided to cancel as most of the children's entertainment would not have been able to get onto the ground along with safeguarding the safety of all those due to attend.
Coventry Sphinx FC Chairman Neil Long was disappointed saying to the Sphinx website, "We really hoped that we would get good weather in the run up to Party on the Pitch but unfortunately the weather has not been good this past couple of weeks which makes events like this impossible to stage. We were anticipating a large turn out as this was raising much needed funds for the football club but we can only apologise to those people who had already purchased tickets and we will be offering a full refund from the place of purchase"
