Coventry Sphinx FC were beaten 4-1 in a friendly game against an RAF Senior Representative side tonight at Sphinx Drive.

The RAF came to Sphinx drive in a friendly game as a warm up to their Inter Services Competition whilst Luke Hopkins used the game to take a look at a few youngsters and some trialists.
It was very much one way traffic in the first half as a well drilled RAF side which contained a number of ex professionals and players who had played at a high level of non-league football, took the lead in the 38th minute.
Sphinx levelled four minutes into the second half when Ricky Fletcher headed home following a free kick but a lovely finish four minutes later had the RAF back in front.
They added a third in the 55th minute with a low drive from inside the area and two minutes from time, a header from a corner gave the RAF a 4-1 win in a game which was a good work out for both sides and one which saw all the gate money going to Help For Heroes.
