Coventry Sphinx were beaten at home for the second time in three days as they went down to a 2-1 defeat to Loughborough University at Sphinx Drive.

Max Herbert put Loughborough ahead in the eleventh minute with a neat finish and another clinical finish from Herbert made it two in the 24th minute.

Loughborough wasted a lot of chances before Lewis McBride netted from a Tom Bates free kick in the in the 56th minute and then wasted a lot more or drew some good saves from Scott Dutton in the Sphinx goal against a Sphinx side which hit the woodwork late on.
