Coventry Sphinx were beaten 2-0 at home by Alvechurch in a Midland Football League Premier Division game.
In a match where both sets of supporters had cause to complain about the referee, the vistors were ahead when Josh March netted following a corner.
Sphinx were down to ten men when Luke Downes was sent off and in the 42nd minute, a screamer of a goal from Smith flew into the net to give Alvechurch a 2-0 win.
