Coventry Sphinx came back to record their first away point this season with a 1-1 draw at Hillshead against Rocester.

The game did not start well for Sphinx as from the kick off, Rocester attacked through Rob Richie-Smith. Sphinx keeper Carl O'Neill came out but lost the ball and Richie-Smith tapped into the empty net.

Rocest‎er went onto have four corners before the ground was in total darkness due to a power failure which saw play held up for 18 minutes.

When play resumed , Nick Ward fired over with a long range shot, Luke Downes just missed from a Cain free kick and Sphinx won a corner.

In the second half, Ward, had two good chances with a 57th minute long ranger which O'Neill brilliantly pushed over for the first of two corners.
Sphinx sent on Gio Dainty and Lewis Bishop and‎ within five minutes were level when they won a corner and there was Chris Gumery to bang home his eleventh goal of the season.

Ashley Cain, another Sphinx player who worked hard for a team which had a number of players suffering from colds and flu like symptoms, had a free kick ‎saved and just missed out on a Bishop cross.

Sphinx cleared a late corner and ensured a share of the points away from home this season.
