Sphinx Beaten At Tipton

Coventry Sphinx went down to a 3-1 defeat at Tipton Town this afternoon.

Kelvin Phillips, who scored four goals in the 5-0 win at Malvern Town on Tuesday night, opened the scoring in the 35th minute.

However, the home side levelled three minutes later through Campbell and then took the lead with a Jakab goal on the stroke of half-time.

Tipton, who are one of the fancied teams this season, hit a third in the final minute of the match with Campbell on the score-sheet.
