Coventry Sphinx slipped to their fourth straight League defeat on Tuesday night away at in form Alvechurch who by contrast notched their eighth straight win.
The Sphinx went down 3-1 with the consolation goal scored by Mitch Piggon and Manager Luke Hopkins was again disappointed with the result.
Hopkins said to the Sphinx website: "Again it was not good enough all round really.
"It sounds like I'm on repeat at the minute and again it's mistakes that are letting us down again. We'd put plans in place to help us last night but when you don’t stick to them you end up with half the team trying to work the game plan and the other half doing as they want and that’s killed us."
Hopkins was critical of some of his players, "I don’t really want to be naming names and hanging people out to dry in front of everyone but it's got to a point where I question why they are wasting their own time, let alone mine. They will soon just have to pay their £6 and stand with the others who have opinions."
He continued, "I've always said it, you can be really talented and have all the ability in the world, but if you don’t want to work and you're not prepared to do the hard graft off the ball you can't play this level of football. With the pitches that we play on and the lads that we play against, often the football has to be a share of the game and ensure that you have the quality in the final third. But to do this you need to have a solid base to build on which we haven't got currently.
