Lye Town FA Cup Trip For Sphinx

Coventry Sphinx have been drawn away to Lye Town in the FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round.

Danny McSheffrey's side travel to the side from the West Midlands Regional League on Saturday August 20th at 3pm.

Other local ties in the EPR see Atherstone at home to Cadbury Athletic, Kev Kingham's Nuneaton Griff versus Stratford Town and Southam United at home to Tipton Town who had a great run in the competition last season before being beaten at Carlisle United.

Should Sphinx win their game at Lye, they will face a trip to the winner of the Nuneaton Griff V Stratford game on Saturday September 3rd at 3pm. If Atherstone get through, they will travel to Kidsgrove Athletic and if Southam beat Tipton, they will be at home to Highgate United or Willenhall Town.

The First Qualifying Round draw has also been made and will see Sphinx, Lye Town or Stratford or Nuneaton travelling to Newcastle Town, Studley or Walsall Wood.

Southam/ Tipton/ Highgate United or Willenhall Town will travel to Malvern Town/ Causeway United or Leek Town.

Atherstone/Cadbury or Kidsgrove will be at home to Rugby Town/ Gornal Town or Shifnal Town.

Leamington will be at home to Boldmere St Michaels/Bartley Green/Coleshill Town or Brocton.

Bedworth United or Sutton Coldfield Town will travel to Rushall Olympic.

These games are to be played on Saturday September 17th.
