Coventry Sphinx manager Luke Hopkins has said that he has already started talks with players for next season.

Hopkins told the Sphinx website: "I am slowly getting round to speaking with the squad of players from last season. I not going to let the dust settle and will speak to the squad of players individually over the next couple of weeks.

"I have already spoken to Luke Downes, Jackson Downie and Jack Rooney and I am happy to say that even though no forms are signed they have committed themselves to next season.

"These are three young lads who have performed well for the club last season and I am sure they will play a big part in next seasons campaign. I know that clubs from below and above our level have been getting the attention of these three young lads along with others so I am more than happy to have them on board for next season"

Hopkins went onto say "Myself, Herbs and Dutts have plenty of irons in the fire and we will hopefully be naming some experienced new signings over the coming weeks to compliment our young and exciting squad"
