Coventry Sphinx have been drawn at home to West Midlands Premier Division side Bromyard Town in the Extra Preliminary Round of the FA Cup sponsored by E.On. The tie against the Hereford based side will take place at Sphinx Drive on Saturday 15th August kick off 3pm.
In the FA Carlsberg Vase Sphinx will travel to Leicester Senior side Ashby Ivanhoe in the first qualifying round on Saturday 5th September with new manager Danny McSheffrey keen to extend his teams run in the competition past the quarter final stages reached in 2007/08.
Sphinx youth team, under the new management of Junior's Head Coach Nigel Starkey, will kick off their FA Youth Cup campaign with a tough looking away trip to Kidderminster Harriers. Sphinx youngsters will travel to Aggborough in the week commencing Monday 7th September. Last season Sphinx reached the first round proper for the second time in three years and hosted MK Dons at Sphinx Drive.
