Coventry Sphinx Youth were beaten 1-0 at home by Alvechurch in a Midland Floodlit Youth League game tonight.
Sphinx had some good chances before the Alvechurch winger hit a close range shot in the 40th minute which flew up off the face of Sphinx keeper Tom Bryce and into the net.
Both sides had chances in the second half but neither could find the net and Alvechurch left with the points.
Coventry Sphinx's first team are at home to Ellesmere Rangers on Saturday. Kick off at Sphinx Drive is at 3pm.
