Coventry Sphinx manger Stu Dutton secured the services of much sought after striker Mitch Thomson.....

Thommo signed on the dotted line last night, even though he is still carrying a injury from last season Dutts was more than satisfied with Thommo committing for another season.

The signings were thick and fast last night with Nuneaton Griff Player Of The Year Danny Harris signing, and centre half Sam Delaney, goalkeeper Chris Brain, midfielder Chris Johnston, right back Reece Blackmore, defender Kieran McCalla all putting pen to paper.

Dutts went onto say "Danny is a major signing for us. To be Player Of The Year for a club who had a very good season says he must be doing something right. Whenever I have seen him play he has impressed me so it's a great signing for the club.

"Sam has come with great recommendations from former Manager Robbie Banks. He's still a young kid with a lot to learn but the potential is great and who better to learn from than Brights. Chris Brain is a very good keeper who has played at a good level so it will be good competition between him and Scott. Chris Johnston is a strong battling midfielder who doesn't shy away from a battle it's a step up for him but I am sure he will rise to the challenge. I had Reece with me at Copeswood and he was one of the players that stood out for me, he's great in the tackle and comfortable on the ball with great energy and a never say die attitude. Kieran has signed form Pilkington XXX and is a great defender who is good in the air and has a good turn of pace. He's another who took my eye from Midland League 1.

"I still have a few irons in the fire and hopefully in the next 2 weeks I'll convince a few more to join us and improve on last seasons campaign."
