Callum Drake has been named the new Captain of Coventry Sphinx Youth team.
After Luke Seery became to old to play for the youth team another had to be chosen and who better than his defensive partner from last year than Callum 'Ginger Ninja' Drake.
Youth team Manager Stu Fraser said 'It was a no brainer really Callum is respected by his fellow players, won Player Of The Year last season for the Youth team and was also Player Of The Year for the Sphinx Sports & Social who play in the Premier League of the Coventry Alliance so to win that at the age of 17 says a lot about the lads ability.
He is a good strong player and don't let his size fool you he tackles like a tank wins his headers and distributes the ball well.'
Fraser went onto to say 'Callum will be assisted by Kyle Jaynes and Jack Downes who are bot more than capable of stepping into his shoes'
