Coventry Sphinx went down to defeat at home Coleshill Town in a Midland Football League Premier Division fixture.

Robbie Banks' side started under the cosh for the opening five minutes and went a goal down in the seventh when Mykel Beckley tapped home.

Sphinx were level in the 16th minute when a Ryan Quinn corner was flapped by the goalkeeper and Mark Albrighton hammered the ball into the net.

In the 34th minute, Keiran Nesbitt was fouled and Sphinx were awarded a penalty which Jackson Downie slotted away much to the enjoyment of the Sphinx support.

With twenty minutes left, Sphinx had Koriya sent off after being shown two cards by a hapless referee and five minutes later, Coleshill drew level through Beckley.

In the 73rd minute, Substitute Simeon Colbourne scored from close range to give Coleshill a 3-2 win they did not deserve.
