Coventry City manager Mark Robins felt that City's U23's outing to Southampton provided a good work out.

City lost 2-0 at Southampton's Staplewood training ground and fieided trialist Alex Davey and speaking about the game to Billie Marshall, City boss Mark Robins said:"We played yesterday against Southampton at their training ground and first-team members were included in their squad, so it was really beneficial to those who travelled.

"It was a great workout for us, and a decent workout for them as well. The training ground was magnificent and the players got to see how the Premier League players train and are treated.

"It was a really good experience, but it also gave us a chance to test ourselves against them and see how physically fit they are, what sort of shape they're in and how hard they work."
